New Chapters

Well, this post is for Tuesday,25 March.

Sean,Cherie,Thaddd,Vera,Fiona,Lim,Priscilla,Wei Wen and I met up at City Hall Mrt Station, before walking over to Marina Square for dinner. Before that, Thadd,Sean and Cherie gave Priscilla and I a nice surprise.Gifts for our birthdays(least expected that)! Thanks you guys!Well, it was quite a long walk, but soon we settled for dinner at Swensen's.Ordered lots of dishes, and Lim gave us yet another good surprise. How could a double birthday celebration do without a cake?

Then on the way back home at around 9pm,we discovered 4 new chapters in the lives of 4 friends who were ahead of us.Well, seems like a great start for them ya?So, that should mark 6 new chapters in the month of March, with many more new challenges ahead waiting to be overcomed.

Well then, since there's nothing much to say,I'll just compose another poem:

The tide was coming in,
But the moon never showed its light.
Where was the moonlight,
The light that has always guided our ship?

The Desert heat was closing in,
But the Sun kept showing its fury.
Where was the calmness in its glory,
The warmth that has always reassured us of our destination?

The darkness was setting in,
But the lamp's flame showed its determination.
Where was our trust in its resolution,
The perserverence that always seen us through time?

Back to MI, and off to another outing

Two days ago, I was all dressed up just to head back to a former school to pay some outstanding school fees. Well, the journey there was the same, just that on the way back I met three friends. The security guard was still the same, and so was the school environment. The payment process was pretty fast.It was 4pm when i arrived, and it was just 4.30pm when i left It was surprising to meet Afian at the stadium, though it was not a CCA day. And on the way out, I met Pei Xuan, who was surprised at seeing me in the school(I dint expect to meet her there at all).
So, I decided to see who else I would meet if I walked back to the bus interchange. And I sure met someone again! Kuan Wei was almost reaching home when we ran into each other, and he was back in IJC after his JAE posting.

Later that night, Pei Xuan and i gave each other a pleasant surprise. She was surprised to see me in MI just so that I could pay my school fees. If there was not a need to, I would not have went there already, plus, I never expected to meet her there either. After that,I was appalled to hear from her that a friend who was from MI during the PAE period was actually still in there, though I previously believed that all my friends had left MI for their JCs and polytechnics.

Well, now on to yesterday...

It was a pleasant outing.Weiwen,Joycelyn,Fiona,Lim,Sean,Thadd and I met at Somerset Mrt station at 1.30pm and left for Orchard Cineleisure for lunch at Subway. We had a nice lunch, but were unable to decide on a movie to watch, so we just went to an arcade at Plaza Singapura to pass the time. After that, at around 4.30pm, After Lim and Weiwen went off,the rest of us went on to Star Bucks Coffee at Wisma Atria, while I went to the Gmask kiosk there, and found out that the was no avaliable stocks for my laptop wrap that was free. So, empty-handedly, went back to meet the rest at Star Bucks, before leaving for Bukit Batok shortly after that, so that I could meet up with my parents and head on to a friend's place for dinner.

Their place sure was great, and it gave a peaceful sort of feeling. And, I finally had a possible job offer, though it came a little too late.So at around 11pm,we left for home.Well, i'm still not sure if I am still willing to work, but I will think it over for now...

To The First Step Of A Journey Of Fantasy

Looking at the remnants thou left behind,
Retraced the footsteps of thou.
Crack and shattered was thyself,
Embracing those short moments.

Aye,those were the days.
The days we enjoyed and lived,
Left settled in memories,
Awaiting the day to be relooked upon.
Souls and spirits shall enlighten our path,
Together, into the depths of the unkown we shall go.

Dedicated to a close friend, of MI, PAE-08S6.

A Short Reunion

Had a small and short reunion with 4 other members of 08S6,which was quite light as always. Met up with Thadd,Sean,Weiwen and Joyce before heading to Sunshine Plaza for lunch at 3pm. Well, I'm not sure, but I did not see that place on a map yesterday. After that, took a bus to Wisma for a light snack at The Coffee Bean. Planned and came up with some of the details for the next gathering, though not all 25 or so classmates would be expected to turn up for this one.We headed on to the next destination, Taka, for some of us wanted to get some stationery for school.Well, din't turn out so well, when Joyce gave us the wrong information, leaving us running around the 1st,2nd,3rd levels as well as the basement.

At around 5.30pm, the guys and the girls parted ways, and it was left with the three of us.We took the train to City Hall, where we took a short break at City Link. It was close to 6.30pm when we decided where to go next. Thadd was going home, while Sean would be waiting for his family to have dinner at Raffles City, and as for me, have a little look around the IT Show at Suntec International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

It did not turn out to be very great as the papers said it would be, but the 4m wide walkway sure helped me move with more speed than during similar shows and fairs back in those days.As such, I managed to gather up some information about some of the products and assesories within 30minutes after I entered the first exhibition hall on the 6th floor. Anyway, I still did manage to pick out some of the booths that I should be visiting tomorrow, so that I can get some things done before I go around the whole complex again, this time paying more attention to the other products being sold there.

With time the footprints fade,
With memory they will be remembered.
With each day we forget,
With each thought we trace.
With every second,
With every mind,
There will never be anything that would be deemed impossible.

Long Holiday

49 days before school starts. Man, it's going to be one long, boring holiday before school starts on 14th April.

I haven't been doing much at home these days, just slacking around, doing little preparation for the new school life ahead. Nowadays, I'm just passing my time off with at least 5 hours of game time daily, usually in the afternoon on weekdays, and up to 10 hours on weekends.

Yea,I still do some household chores, but they only take up most of the morning, followed by some other things, which vary from day to day.

Anyway, the only good start of the 55-day holiday was to take my brother to a park for his school's annual cross country run. We were almost late, but good thing there was a long line of taxis waiting at the MRT station. So, by the time I reached home after dropping him off at the entrance of the park,it was close to 9am. Did some chores, and then it was back to my lifeless, gamer self.Had thought that I would not be like this once the O levels were over, but, it seems like I would be back to that helpless state real soon.

Last day of the last PAE, new life awaits...

Monday was similar to the previous Graduation Nite I had in Yuan Ching. Morning, there was school as per normal, but after that, we decided to make a move early after Math, as there were no other important lessons from 11am onward. So, invited Lim,Thadd,Lynette,Cherie,Angeline and Priscilla over for lunch, before going on to Fiona's place at 4.30pm for the barbeque party.

Really enjoyed ourselves that day, and it might be the last time that we would be able to meet together as a class.Anyway, there was bound to be more similar gatherings in time to come, so 08S6, just get ready for the next gathering,ok?

So,the next day,I received an SMS at 6.20am. Wondered who was so excited about the posting results that day. Well, so I just opened the message, and I ended up having one of the worst Tuesday mornings in 2008.I was not posted to either of the Aeronautical courses in Ngee Ann Polytechnic or Singapore Polytechnic.Instead, I got posted to my third choice, Mechanical Engineering at Ngee Ann Polytechnic.THe moment I saw the results, I did the simplest thing. Maybe I was just imgining things,so a short nap would do ya?Ok, so at 10am, I woke up, checked the SMS again, well, itwas true.Ok, fine,it's not a bad course anyway, and I still have the chance to consider what I really want to do in a University after I graduate from the Polytechnic.

So, for now, all I know is that I will be meeting 5 friends more often over the next three years, which is quite a good thing actually, even though we're not bound for the same course.

Another Long Hike In Town

Picked myself up slowly at 7am,turned on the internet to plan my route for the day, and went back to sleep. Well, I sort of overslept and was not able to make it to Lot 1 at Chua Chu Kang,to scout for a suitable gift for Monday. So, as Sean could only make it at 3pm, Thadd arranged to meet me at West Mall earlier today.I had wanted to head over to Jurong Point at first, but when Thadd told me he was heading for West Mall,I had to make my way back to my starting point.Anyway, this was the route we took for the day:

1. West Mall(11.30am-12pm)
2. Jurong Point(12.20pm-1.30pm)...we had lunch at a MacDonalds' fast food outlet here
3.Bugis Shopping Centre(2pm-2.55pm)
4.Suntec Convention Centre(3.15pm-4pm)
5.Millenia Walk(4pm-4.30pm)
6.Marina Square(4.50pm-5.45pm)
7.City Link(6pm-7.30pm)

As expected, close to 50% of the total time was spent solely on travelling, with the remainder on scouting and making purchases.Well, met some of the OGLs,who could not recognise us at a shop at Bugis Junction. After meeting Sean, and going on to Millenia Walk to take a look at the plane models,we headed back to Marina Square on the return leg of the whole day's plan for the main gift.We spent lots of time at our second last destination,Mini Toons, just to get the personal and class gifts for her, before making our way to City Link.

As the crowd was closing in at around 6pm to catch the Chingay Parade, we decided to snack-out the long jam,so that we would not be affected by the overcrowded trains later on.So, we went over to Polar cake shop at City Link from 6pm to 7.30pm.Before that,we were at MPH bookstore to get ourselves some greeting cards to go along with the gifts we had bought.

After that, it was a terrible journey back home, with the Large gift being a burden to my normal movements...

January At A Glance...

This year did not start off quite well, perhaps it was due to the transition from a secondary school to an instituion of a higher level, which is MI.MI stands for Millenia Institute, but it is not your average Institute of Technical Education. In fact, MI is just like any other JCs in Singapore, just that, instead of the usual one year and three months,an average MI student takes two years and three months before he or she is ready for the General Certificate of Examination Advanced Level examinations.

Anyway, I got posted there as a Provisional Admission Exercise(PAE) applicant. My clan was Neutron(kinda like the most slacked clan in the whole orientation), group 4. Well, made some friends there, and found out that majority of us were posted as science students.I was eventually posted to the class 08S6,the class that will be taking the combination of Biology,Chemistry and Mathematics. No H1 subjects were offered due to the short period of time, and as a result, we were dismissed daily at 1.25pm daily, and 12.45pm on fridays. As for the starting time of school, it starts at 9am on Mondays, and 8am on other days.

Friends wise, they're a great bunch, and I must say, our bond gets stronger with every passing day.So, whenever possible, we always chip in anyway we can, even though the time we will spend together will be a short one.

Anyway... back to yesterday, the first ever barbeque party organised for the class.I'll make it a short one.We missed the busstop, and walked a little further towards the pit. I made a run for the van parked outside Road Safety Park. The caterer, though he waited for over 40 minutes, he was still very modest and helpful, I really appreciated his patience during that time under such weather.Kudos to him and BBQ House! The rain was overpowering our morale, but although we did not manage to cook everything, but like what Lynne has said "Though today the weather was not favourable, but we sure had a great time going through all the rain".

Ok, on to Miss Lim's house warming at her new temporary home this evening. We all met at Boon Lay MRT station, and made our way there once everyone had arrived. There was a buffet waiting for us upon arrival, and guess wat, there were not many guests when we arrived. But, as we ate and chatted, more arrived. I had a whale of a time there, and hopefully, the others did too.So at about 9.30pm,everyone left for home, while Randall and I went to buy some personal items...

Though we had only known each other for two months, why do I find myself drifting further and further away from the place I once called home during the last 4 years...why is that? Was it because of the new bonds, or is it because life goes on?

Long Day

A couple more hours and those performing arts members going for the Shanghai trip would be leaving their homes.Anyway, wish them all the best and hope they enjoy their trip, and back to the main topic...

Yesterday, there were mainly FOUR main events that took place. First one? It's the YCSS open house, which is finally opened to the public for the first time. Although the turn out was not that good, the graduates from the previous years, along with some of the secondary 4s, visited the school once again. Well, we sort of formed the bulk of the visitors who came.Once again, I never failed to head over to my two CCAs that helped me clinch an A2 for my CCA record upon arrival and before leaving the school again.

Next, went home with Randall before heading off with him for a movie and some other contacts at Vivo City. The movie was Hero,it's a nice movie, and I think it's a sequel to a previous movie shown on television. Surprisingly, Randall was very slow in understanding the whole story.Strangely enough, even after it had ended, he still did not know roughly what was going on.At around 5.37pm, both of us made a dash for the MRT station.Along the way, we were stopped to do donate some money. We did something nice. The moment we refused him(it was a him by the way),we sprinted for the sation. We told him we were in a rush(really),so, we were really in a hurry, thus,we sprint.

So,we were obviously late for the third major event yesterday.

That was 4E1's barbeque session. Both of us arrived at around 6.10pm.and got down to work almost immediately. For me, I felt a little tired, and decided to take a short walk around the condominium. It looks big, but the places were really easy to find(That's Andy's answer to how I could buy the pack of fire starters so quickly).Played with Randall on the swings when we felt real bored.Mr Liew had only arrived then.Randall still held the upperhand, being the one to reach higher faster.I'm the type who prefers to climb slowly, then descend slowly. Then again,at 9.06pm, I had to make another dash for the MRT station. This was going to be the fourth great event that took place yesterday.I would like to apologise for not being able to stay longer, with the band members I met at the gate before running to the MRT station and the others who came later that night, for not being able to stay for the photograph taking session and for not being able to witness the handling of momentos to Ms Lim.Ran along the canal in the opposite direction toward the MRT stationfor the first time in 4 years(tonight was also my fastest lap timing ;P ).

Another 40 minute journey by train to Paya Labar MRT station before I was picked up by my uncle and my mum tomy cousin's place at Katong. There was another barbeque over there, which started at about the same time as the one for 4E1.So, this one was more lively, with a live telecast of a socccer match of Liverpool against another team.I din't watch for too long, though at that time, Liverpool was leading by a 3-0 win over the other team at that time.We chatted alot, and thanks Clara for finally reuniting me with my ELDDS CCA photograph after my countless forgetfulness made me leave it in the hands of the teacher in-charge for close to 3 months.at around 11.30pm,we had toleave, since Clara would be going on the Shanghai trip as well and had to get some rest before the flight. She'll do just fine over there with the rest of the group, so let's not worry too much about that for now, and, please don't say that I'm thinking of someone else now ok?(that spot is empty again...making me feel light).

Anyway, I really wanted to stay put at the class gathering, for we would meet less freqently nowadays, and would hardly meet as a full class, and for now, time to get back to more training at MapleSEA.Dammit...If only I had time to buy Flight Simulator yesterday, I would be playing that instead right now...

Those memories were really sweet ones, and still, I don't know if I should be happy or sad, or even both, since I'm going to miss the people I had aquinted with for the best 4 years of my life in the 10 years education.Nevermind about the other 6 long years,I still hate those days to the CORE.

Mass blog overhaul-Phase 1

Here's the list of updates:

1. 5 new links, they're quite obvious actually
2. Added a new link segment, MapleSEA Peeps
3.New Blogskin
4.More coming up in the weeks to come, but let's leave itlike this for now...

Another final Farewell

Oh well... secondary four is one of the most emotional times i had gone through. Everyone can be seen to have very strong bonds with one another, yet, we end up leaving one another at the very end. Will be talking more about that next week, shortly after the actual blog overhaul.

Anyway, here's another sad, yet memorable outing by a quarter of the class today. Before that, let's start off at midnight today. Was playing MapleSEA again, but theres a little difference to this one. We're sort of imitating the DJs at 987 till 2am. After that, since there was nothing to do, we decided to train a little till 4am when the patch starts. Was falling asleep till we were finally logged out at 4.05 this morning.

Slept for 4 hours till 9am this morning, before preparing for Vignesh's farewell gathering at 11.30am. Andy,Gabriel and Zhong Rong at Zhong Rong's place... its for another gathering, known as "4E1 1st anniversary 2007" at his condo's barbeque pit 1 on Sadurday,241107,6pm. Those from 4e1 who are going can just sms Andy or Zhong Rong... Snyway, back to story. Damien(meeting someone) was at the MRT station as well, and so was Yong An(going for his job),followed by Vignesh~,Wei Xiang and I.... Soon, the train arrived and off we went, first to Viviocity for lunch and to stock up for the gathering later on.

WE were separated by heavy rain shortly after arriving at Palawan Beach, the Southernmost Point of Continental Asia. Liked the suspension bridge, was enjoying the violent swaying of the bridge, caused by the strong winds, though it did freak some friends out.I was second last to be thrown into the water, and it seemed like my sprinting and ability to turn at high speed was not so rusty afterall.Gave in after I got bitten by a red bug and endured a short moment of intense pain, got pulled in by Vignesh and Gabriel, but before I fell intot he water,I pushed them in first(XD).By the way, we found this large, brown possibly dead jellyfish stranded on the shore, discovered by Jun Jie(not the singer though).

We played games like murderer and volleyball before going on to water bombs while the girls were changing. When we finally did, we thought that we were being given a warning by the beach patrol for littering, but it turns out that he was given others a stern warning instead for something more serious, and also to warn people near the shore not to venture to far out due to the increasingly strong currents and high tides...

We packed up, and we were off to Juring Point with Steven,Gabriel,Fong Yong and Jun Jie for dinner(finally a decent meal). Played Truth or Dare and found out how to sort of attract people of the opposite gender, and we all gained new insights from Steven again(Thanks for all that). Now,here I am, typing this, before going on for another MapleSEA marathon till around 2 or 3... till then, see you soon, and Vignesh,we will miss you for 2 years straight...

Graduation Nite 2007

Yesterday was the Graduation Nite for the secondary 4Es and 5Ns.At around 4.20pm, met up with Pang Yong,Attiqah,Yew Chong and Andy(they sure looked smart in their clothes) at the Bukit Batok MRT station, before taking them to the Civil Service Club where the event was to be held later that night. At the entrance,we waited for a short moment before a redcar arrived.Fong Yong and Siang Lin stepped out from the car.Wow, she sure looked pretty. Fong Yong had not changed into his attire yet(me too).

Shortly after, more girls arrived, and they sure looked more pretty than they were back in school! Then soon came the 4E2 people. The guys looked cool in their sunglasses and their outfits, and the girls like Xiu Wei were almost not recognisible!Anyway, at the Crystal Ballroom, we were taken in awe by the size of the ballroom, which was the largest in the club. Liked the stage lights the most. Everyone was busy taking photographs,4E1 included, and the rehearsals for our class performance had to be postponed till around 5.30pm. We took our attendence, lucky draw numbers and were told our tables. Andy,Darren,Damien,Edward,Zhong Rong,Lilin,Fong Yong,Dominic,Randall and I were seated at Table 10. At around 7.30pm, two hours later, did the MCs,Darren,Yew Chong(Jack Sparrow),Mdm Azlinah and Mr Fadzel take centre stage. They sure added lots of colour to the atmosphere that night! They started the night with a short speech by Mr Chia, followed by the first table game, whereby half of the people in the ballroom had to read a short sentence and draw a short comic strip about the sentence, with the second half of the people in the ballroom using the drawn pictures to write out their definition of the comic strip.

Next was the first performance by 4E2.Really liked it. After that, there was the Lucky Draw, before the next class,4E3,performed for everyone. Enjoyed the two songs they sang, and then it was on to the next table game, which was something like a treasure hunt.

Following was the next lucky draw and another table game. This one would be very well known by some of our friends. We had to guess which childhod photograph belonged to which teacher, and some of the answers were very funny too! Next up was a performance by Damien and Sean with their Duet song.Andy gave his last farewell speech for the school, which I think was the shortest speech he had ever gave to the school. 5N2 also had a sing along session, and after that it was none other than our very own class,4E1!I will never forget the performance given by our class.I really enjoyed this segment the most! 4E1! You guys are the best people I had been with over the last 4 YEARS of secondary school life! After that was a touching video by Damien(will upload it tomorrow),and I really liked it!It was definitely better than the one showed on Teachers' Day.Seems like our class had many mini self-organised events during our time-slot for the peformance yar. Sadly, although Miss Lim was not there to watch our performance, she would be watching it on video next Saturday during the class gathering at Zhong Rong's place. Hoped Mr Liew enjoyed it too, for we love Mr Liew too!

There was another video, this time by the teachers to the students, followed by one from the students to the teachers. Really touched by some of the comments by the teachers and the students. The best dressed awards came up next, before the whole Graduation Nite was rounded up by class photograph taking sessions and many other small-scale photograph taking sessions at about 10.30pm.

After that, many might not know of it, but an hour later, when most of the teachers and students had gone home, I made a confesson to her(should I say her name?), ya. Appreciated the help some friends gave me during the short moment.Anyway, here's a short statement I said,"You know, I had really liked you for 3 years." Her reply? Well, it's a long story, with the result being a rejection. Well, come to think of it, I think that the act was worth it, for it should me that my confidence had really grown many times greater than it was 4 ears ago, when I did not even dare to talk to anyone, not even to a close friend. Though the result was painful, I guess, some things have to be learnt and realised the hard way, yar,for that has always been my way of learning things.Well, it was 10 minutes to midnight when everyone vacated the ballroom.Everyone took taxis home, but for me,being one who prefers walking alone, yea, you guessed it, I walked home, arriving at my doorstep at 12.08am this morning. Right now, I feel sort of empty, since last night would be the very last time we were united together for a performance.I will miss those days, but I will not forget those memories we all shared together.
By the way, photographs will be uploaded tomorrow...

The time has come, we all enjoyed ourselves, and that was all that mattered. Although that might be the last time we saw each other, I know that there would be times where we all could bt reunited again, as a class. As I feel the pieces of 4E1 drifting apart, I know that we will see each other again someday in the future...

4E1, may our precious memories always stay in our hearts! All the best to everyone in whichever route you might take in your life stories!!!

First, second and third rehearsals for the BIG day

After the Teachers' Day Celebrations,I had the thought that everything that brought the bonds between classmates would end right there.I was wrong. In fact, the bonds were going to be reinforced.

On the last three days, last Friday, yesterday and today, half of us came together once again, for the last big event which would take place tomorrow at the Civil Service Club at Bukit Batok. It started froma small, simple gathering on Friday to a large-scale full rehearsal today. Won't be saying so much(it's supposed to be something like a surprise till then I guess).

At around 1.30pm, we went our own ways again, for lunch with gabriel,Fong Yong,Steven and Jun Jie at the hawker centre next to the community centre. After that went on to Lakeside and met Mr Liew for some advice on where to get clothes for Jun Jie for a moment before we went on to Queensway Shopping Centre at 2.30pm to buy some clothes for tomorrow. In just one and a half hours, four of us,Steven,Jun Jie, Gabriel and I, completed our shopping at 5 and we were headed for home.

Now, I doing nothing, except for some rehearsing for tomorrow.Just hoping that everyone will enjoy themselves tomorrow.

So this is where the story ends. Memories, both great and sad, friends and teachers will be missed, new ones will come later, but till then, these memories are things I will never forget...

It's OVER

Finally! The "O" Levels are OVER!4 YEARS of HARD WORK have paid off...

Brief overview of the Month of Examinations,in the order of which subject finished first:

Additional Mathematics:
I never expected it to be of the same difficulty as the prelims(especially paper 1). Just hoping for 3 points for this one.

English:
Come on, you got to bekidding me with such interesting passages(previous passages seemed like a lullaby to me). Essay was no doubt a breeze.

Mathematics:
Comparable with the prelims.

Science(Chemistry/Biology):
Chemistry was tough right from the start, while Biology was the exact opposite. Chemistry was tough for ALL three papers, then Biology was way easy(we were only tested on our foundation knowledge).

Comined Humanities(Social Studies/Geography Elective):
Easier than prelims, but still, I'll keep my fingers crossed for this one.

Physics:
Easy for the paper 2, slightly easier than prelims for paper 1.

Anyway, the day I had been waiting for had come, so what's next? The graduation Nite, of course!Let's leave that for Thursday shall we?

Looking back at those 4 years, many things have definitely changed. I can't really think of much to say right now,so would most likely post all of it in the next post.

So I Guess This Is Good Bye

I had planned to return to blogging in about a weeks' time, but, I guess this has to come now, or I would lose the feelings to "pen" this down.

Tuesday,6 November 2007

Immediately after our second last paper of the O levels, we headed straight for a classroom on the first floor of the admin block. Mr Liew siad that earlier this morning, he had something to tell the class. Those at the study corner had the thought that he was going to give us some insight on the JC and Polytechnic syllabus or something similar, on Mathematics. But we were wrong. We were about to be given the worst news in our 4 years of secondary school life in Yuan Ching.

At first, he went about his normal lines, encouraging us to look ahead and go in the direction that appealed to us most.Anyway, to make a long story short, our(my would seem a little selfish in my perspective) form teacher of two years, but for most of us, have had her as a form teacher for three years, has left the school two weeks ago. As she did not want to cause us much alarm, she only told us about it today. That's her love for us, her dear 4E1(2007) students.

It sure did brought much shock and speculation to the class. I even had the thought that Lian Yun was joking when he said that Ms Lim had left the school. Imagine that, FOUR YEARS. All those sweet and bitter memories that we shared as a class, secondary 1E1, 3E1and 4E1. Imagine, all these years,we grew, suffered, laughed, learnt and cried together. No where else can we ever go through all those great times together once again. I admired her strength to be able to go all out with us, to shower the 44 of us with love, care and concern. Even till now, I still can't find the right words to express all the things she did for us...

Anyway, dear 4E1, indeed, like what Mr Liew said, we should be happy for her, since she has moved on, to write a new chapter in her life story.Well, I would like to say this. Ms Lim, I would support you all the way, though you never told us your reason for leaving, I hope that you would enjoy your time at your new workplace.

By the way, this is a quote from Andy's blog:

"But nevertheless, Miss Lim is now teaching in an International School and really hope to see her again in our Graduation Nite.... I really miss Miss Lim... Miss Lim, Thanks for everything you have done for 4E1 in the past 2 years. We(4E1) enjoyed our memorable journey together with you and hope u too have enjoyed the journey with us. Really wanna thank you very very much. Will always remember you... *SOB*"

I wuite like the way this is said, since that is the way most of us feel right now.

In the middle of a dark and cold room,
there was a candle.
It gave its surroundings a guiding light,
It gave its surrounds reassuring warmth,
It showed its surroundings its power to burn.

In the shadows,
there was the flame's light.
It gave its users strength,
It gave them the courage,
It showed them their respective paths in life.

In the freezing darkness,
there was the flame's warmth.
It gave its users hope,
It gave them the love and care they needed,
It showed them what other better opportunities fate had in line for them.

This is a poem specially penned out for Ms Lim, guess you would know what the flame and the users represent. It's quite obvious, really.

Blogging Turns 2~

Yeah~ today marks not just my second year of blogging, another friend who's tuning sixteen today, but also the end of the preliminaries(Three Cheers~).
First, this marks my second sucessive year of blogging, so do expect more updates to come sooner(this is the best time to celebrate about something after the failure of a major examination).

Next, Happy birthday to Pei Xuan, who won't have to sneak into the cinema threatre to watch NC 16 movies(happy 16th birthday to you~). Yong Chuan sure was high today, cause he suceeded in giving her a gift for the second time, and this time, he went further, giving her one that was in a big bag(wow).

Thridly(I seldom celebrate so many thins at once), today's the last day of the O Level preliminaries!Plus, I can gurantee a 70% chance that today's paper, the Additional Mathematics Paper Two, will earn me a distinction(compared to my failing grade of F9 months ago).Maybe again, let's not count on it again, for it might be another failing grade.

Don't really have that much to say for now, except that this could be the last post till mid November, when all that hard work pays off. However, there's really no need to worry, for it's just two months, before I can continue as per normal yea?

Anyway,Here's something for yesterday. While the whole school was studying or having their examinations, the twelve of us went to class to slack(Fong Yong joined us only at 9am). WE did all kinds of things in there, ranging from reading to sports. When it was finally time, to the laboratory we went, and guess what, just for the thirteen of us, the corridor of the laboratory was cordoned off.Unfortunately, I met with some difficulty finding the right readings for the first section and lost lots of time there. Lost of time leads to less time and less time would also mean the lack of time to complete the tabulation of results and the drawing of the graph. Thus, I did not finish 3marks' worth of workings. OK then that's all I guess, the last paper's going to be starting in a couple of hours...

To this a new start,
To that an old end.
The future carries new experiences
The past entraps old memories

What ever the outcome might be, the past and present might have become something a simple and valuable memory. However, fret not, for though you might be taking the plunge now, the future can be changed-you still got a chance to turn the tables around.

---------------------------------------

A destiny,
What will it be?
What will foretell?

A wish,
What can it do?
What truths can it unravel?

A life,
What can it say?
What will its jouney be like?

There's no definite line between the three elements that I had been thinking about just a few moments ago, and decided to come up with this...

Speeding Kills

Yes,it sure does. I got killed mentally by speeding today.

I'll just give brief highlights for the new week of the final term of secondary school life, which is a very unique week in ten years of education.

TERM FOUR WEEK ONE,2007:
GENERAL CERTIFICATE OF EXAMINATION ORDINARY LEVEL
INTERNAL PRELIMINARY EXAMINATION

Monday
Geography Elective, Science(Chemistry/Biology) practical

Geography, happy to say that I was just three sentences behind time, that's all, and I did complete my map reading section in 50 minutes, which is a bit of an improvement, since I completed that part in 70 minutes during the last Semestral Examination.

To Date, that day's practical sure was the most fascinating of all the practicals I had ever done and attempted in secondary school. First, you could hear frequent shattering of glass. Next, I succeeded in making my reagents explode while heating(cheers)! My third reason, I brought my samples from the Biology experiment home, and gosh, they looked like c*****s, because they had a partially permeable membrane.Sadly, as the samples cannot be kept under normal conditons for too long, I had to dispose of them three days later.

Tuesday
Social Studies, Science(Biology) Paper 4

Social Studies wasn't that of a killer, except that I was just one sentence away from finishing the whole paper. Nevermind, it's just two marks, not that bad.

Biology. My favourite subject, and currently I found a new way to study for this subject:usage of photographic memory(it's not powerful enough for me to memorise the whole book this way). With that, I save time memorising the drawings and diagrams.

Wednesday
Elementary Mathematics Paper 1,Physics Papers 1 and 2.

Today's a killer, with 5 hours and 15 minutes of examination time spent in the hall in three sittings.Don't have much to say for Mathematics, except that If I was more composed during the paper(including all Mathematics papers), it would be a definite distinction.I have the knowledge, but somehow I need some sort of a stimulant in my mind to get them out normally.Anyway, things were a little funny today, with those taking the Physics paper 1 finishing 15 minutes before the Science(Physics) candidates. However, there was a sawp of the tables when the Physics candidates returned intot he examintion hall. As soon as the thirteen of us started off on our 1hour 45 minute paper, there were tremors. The Science(Physics) candidates were vacating the hall!Ok, I dont really mind thier noises, but it was the vibrations(my table was literally shaking) that dirupted my chain of thoughts for the claculations and explainations.

Physics was like a beach, where the seabed gets deeper as you travel further offshore. That's how most of us felt about paper 1. I manage to clinch a B3 for this one(yea~ from a borderline pass to an average score) at 26/40. Next, the Physics paper 2 was the exact opposite of our Semestral Assessment 1 for this year. Instead of tough explainations, today's paper had all sorts of funny figures(and I mean figures) for the workings and equations. Hope I will do better than last time.

Thursday
Elementary Mathematics Paper 2, Science(Chemistry) Paper 2

These papers did not prove to be much of a hassle, so I did the papers quite normally.Till now, I'm still wondering how I managed to do the questions in the Mathematics paper.

Friday
Science(Chemistry/Biology)Paper 1,Additional Mathematics Paper 1

Yes!I broke my record for the Science paper. 15 minutes for the Chemistry questions, and 5 minutes for the Biology questions(guess I aced it). Frankly,I did not believe that I could finish the 20 Biology questions within 5 minutes(normally I took at least 10 minutes).

Alright, on to the paper that sort of got me devastated today. I paid the most attention to this paper, and for this day as well. Anyway, it was this particular question on functions that indirctly killed me. Not to forget, I fumbled again, thanks to the many careless mistakes that surfaced again. Yea, took the precautions and all, but still, i got more or less the same results.Nevermind. With just thirty minutes left, I rushed through the last four questions of the paper. I was certain that I did not care less about getting the right answers. But heck, as long as I got the method marks, I'll not fail,ya?So, there you go, I finished with one small unfinished portion of the paper. After that, I was emptionally empty, after putting in all that effort only to get anohter failing grade. So, straight home it would be. Maybe next week I'll head out for an hour or so to relief myself?Next week, for the second paper, I will not commit the same mistake that I had been commiting since the Semestral Assessment One.Never.

Highlights of next week:

TERM FOUR WEEK TWO,2007:
GENERAL CERTIFICATE OF EXAMINATION ORDINARY LEVEL
INTERNAL PRELIMINARY EXAMINATION

Second Birthday of my blog~

Checking of Papers

It's getting nearer,I can feel it, but let's just hold out a little longer. Feeling like breaking down this moment, especially after another great fall at the second attempt. But hey,we're almost there...
