Today, was the opposite was yesterday. Things got very bad the night before, but the waters were very clam and crystal clear in the morning. Today, the morning was very stormy, and things were extremely ugly, though at night things got better. After a long, long time, I am sure that I would be able to sleep well tonight. This morning, I was woken by a very agonising dream, a dream which materialised into my life as soon as I woke up. Allow me to share this dream with you.

A little introduction to the time I dreamt about this. It was around 5.45am when I woke up, spent about 10 minutes thinking of how the day would go today, before falling asleep again unknowingly. I returned to Dreamland.

The setting was pure darkness. The surroundings were totally pitch black, and it was dead silent. I did not see myself, nor was I able to see any faces or figures. I could not feel myself or anything around me either. I only heard voices. Voices of my friends. Everything started with greetings to one another. There were four of us, two girls, and two guys. Things progressed rapidly, from small talk about almost anything under the sun for quite some time. It felt really great to have found some great friends. However, soon we began having feelings for one another. The atmosphere had changed. Things were reather stable for quite some time before cracks started appearing in our bond. From small hairline cracks, they rapidly evolved into serious, structural cracks which threatened to end something so precious to us. Slowly and steadily, one by one, we broke up. The once lively group of friends is now history. Time check:9.00am

So far, this is what happened from five and a half months ago till today, excluding the last part. Hopefully, the last part would not happen at all. I am doubting the decisions I have been making since the year began in January. Before last December, I have never made any decisions that were wrong which carried very serious consequences. If there was anything that caused the cracks to appear, that would be me. My old self from close to 10 years ago is beggining to make a comeback. I can't let it happen. Never.

I have decided not to change the blogskin for June, as I am currently making preparations to switch to the new codes that are used by the current Blogger. Currently I'm still using the old html codes that are used for webpage design. This coming Sunday I might be adding some new links if I have got the time to do so.

Botanical Gardens Shoot

Today we went to the Botanical Gardens for our Outdoor photoshoot. It was hot, tiring, interesting and new. Even before we started on our shoot, I was perspiring already. Yesterday I had the first training for taekwondo after a month, and the evening's training was great, and although I joined them 3 weeks late, the trainings were still not very tough. Today, for the whole day, for every step I took, my feet gave an exhilerating sensation. After an hour of walking at the gardens, the pain become something like a second nature. It just disappeared. Took lots and lots of shots, some good, some bad. At 12.35pm, when we were dismissed, I walked at my usual pace to the bus stop. I was in luck. A taxi had stopped just behind the stop line, and I just got on. No need for any flag down.

I reached school at 12.50pm, and just went straight for the make-up practicals for IA. Sadly, we were not going to use any compressed gas today. I miss the hissing sound of the gas. At 4pm, went with Yin Feng and Hakim to the library to study. The new strategy is going really well, and I managed to score 100% for 2 quizzes within 2 attempts for both.

It would be the same for tomorrow, though there would only be 3 hours, from 5 to 8pm. Thursday. I'll leave school for the driving centre at 12pm for the Basic Theory Test, held from 12.50pm to 1.40pm. Hopefully I can pass it within 20minutes, update the system with my results and once again, take a taxi back to school(no choice), as I would have IAM from 2pm to 4pm. That evening is also the time of the Annual General Meeting for the Toastmasters Club, and sadly I'll miss the first meeting of the Videography Club(don't worry, I'll be there every Thursday from next week). Friday. There should not be any events after 4pm, so most likely it's back to the library for a solid 4 hours of slacking and study. Coming Sunday, I'll be updating more links(missed out a few links).

Third Week'09

Tomorrow's the third week of the term. Anyway, I have updated some stuff, and I'm sure it's easy to spot them. Don't really have time to list in detail, but should not be a problem to notice which are the items that have been added ya?

Overseltp this morning and I ended up with less time to take good shots at the nature park. Seems like I wasted an hour there taking shots that are not revelant to the assignment, and I'll have to take some shots tomorrow again. Hopefully there will be time in the monring before I head to school.

CNY Round-up'09

Although it's only the seventh day of the new year, it feels almost as though it's already the end. Yesterday was the last day of visiting for me, when relatives came to visit in the afternoon. In the evening, went over to the residence of my father's friend for dinner, had a great time listening to opinions, before heading home to finish up on the backbone of the Economics assignment. If not for the email, I might have ended up burning oil up till as late as 4 or 5am after midnight. So, unfortunately, I would be skipping training for two Mondays straight to complete the assignment, and also to prepare for 3 tests, each with a weightage of not less than 30% of the final mark. I seriously need those 'A's.

That's yesterday. And so, for today, I spent the whole afternoon on revision after lunch at 1pm. I was only able to increase my focus on revision from 20% to 80% after 3pm today. I did some revision as well in the morning, mainly the final online quiz for the practical and some background research for the Economics final assignment. In the afternoon, gamed and revised for the final Engineering Drawing test and Engineering Materials Final Test. Both carry a weightage of 30% each. I must get at least 25% for each test in order to greatly increase my chances of clinching the 'A' grade for both modules. Later in the evening, it was back to revision for the Engineering Drawing Final Test after dinner till now.

There's going to be a raging storm over the next two weeks, starting tomorrow, and subsiding as early as next Friday. The week after that, would see the storm's end on 20Th February, when I'll have the Final Examination for the Engineering Mathematics 2 module.

This week, I have changed the play list once again. This song was recommended and introduced to me by someone of whom I have never met before(intriguing eh?). River Flows in You, by Yiruma, was picked as a candidate for the thriller-romance movie Twilight(This I did not know until she told me about it), though I don't really know what's the story behind how they went about selecting the piece to be played as Bella's Lullaby.

Another New Start, Perhaps?

I just have one thing to say about myself over the weekend. Pathetic. I was supposed to be doing revision and project since Saturday, but i ended up getting very little done. Economics, I ended up getting stuck, not knowing how I should go about with the assignment. Mathematics, I must stop slacking as soon as possible, before I fail the the final test in slightly more than a month's time. So far, I am only glad that I managed to make some progress in the project under IAC. Alright. Let's stop all the nonsense talk that not studying carries chances of getting straight As. That was only possible as I had the so-called beginner's luck with me during the first semester. Now, it's coming to the end of the second semester and I'm still living in the sea of beliefs. If I do not navigate out of there soon, I might just get drawn into the whirlpool of failure.

I know I have to get my drive up and going soon, but it's not this week, due to the Joint Admissions Exercise. Damn. Just as much as I want to help others, I want to help myself get the grades and make the mark once again. Alright. I hate to say it, but if nothing goes well this coming week, I might consider suspending myself from CCAs all the way till when the exams are over.

[Blog Update]
Anyways, I have updated the playlist on the blog. This time it's from the game, DJ Max. The song sounds a bit like the one you hear in one of the maps in MapleSEA. I have forgotten which map though, as I seldom play games nowadays.

Please, don't let it happen again. I have made a promise, and I'm trying very hard to keep it. Please, even if it must be broken, at least allow it to be broken in March during the holidays. Just not now. It's still too early and I'm still in the first year.

Blog Hoping for bored people

Alright, it's about a day late, but I have finally updated the Links List. Updated 6 links: Chong Siang, Christopher, Dominic, Xiu Wei, Yew Chong and Jeslynn. Added 3 new links as well: 2E1'05 forum, An Yan and Cherry Berry(what's that? well, why don't you find it out yourself and ask me when you think you have got it?). And also, I have added a couple of tags beside some of the links. Won't state them here, for I guess it's pretty much obvious when you see them.

Next, allow me to share with you something damn silly with you. This evening at 7pm, I random-ed a local blog using google search. I ended up at a blog belonging to an MDIS student. next, I blog-hopped to a blog belonging to a student also, this time from FMSS. Finally, after going around in circles a couple of times, I arrived at a blog belonging to a CJC student, followed by ACJC and finally NP. The last blog that I ended up at, of course, was mine. The second last blog that I landed at was Priscilla's blog, and of course, the link before that, was her friend's, and the link before that was her friend's friend, and it goes on, all the way until my starting point. Don't get it? Just ask me when you're free, and I could give the exact history of the 23 blogs(including the starting blog) that I went to before I ended up at my own blog.

Although it took an hour, as I was reading all the December posts of each and every blog(and also looking at the profiles of almost every author before I randomly clicked on a link to get to the next blog), but, come to think of it, it's kind of fun and exciting, to find out how linked you are to the people around you! Oh, and by the way, i came across a very young blog whose author just posted her first post less than 2 weeks ago!

Anyway, want a challenge, try this! Use google blog search, and random a blog belonging to an author who lives on the other side of the world. Following that, try your luck finding your way to your very own blog, using only links found on each blog you arrive at. Trust me, you will be amazed at your history page after you finally arrive at your very own blog!

My Journey so Far

This, is the one big thing I mentioned yesterday. As far as I can remember, today was the 6th time I changed the blog skin. I picked out 15 skins, tried out the templates, codes, presence of titles, font sizes and finally decided on this one. Anyway, this is what I did today: Changed blog skin(like DUH), re-did the format for the links, changed the colour scheme for the tag board to suit the colour scheme of the skin but there is no limit on the number of words so feel free to spam and I also added a new feature to the blog as well. A music playlist. It was sort of like a last minute decision though, but I'll just try it out for the next 6 months until June, changing the songs twice a month. Just to start things off, I used this piece, as I had been coming across it very often time and again.. But do expect to hear songs from the other genres over the months!

So, that's all for the first part of the mass overhaul, and the next part of it would be done later in the morning. The next overhaul's scheduled tentatively for Sunday, June 28th 2009.

Finally, it has also been some time since I did this, but, here we go, especially since I have not replied to tags dating to as far back as 18th November:

Tag Replies:

janna~Apologies for the extremely late reply..Sadly I just found out I might not be getting the phone in the end.. Going to wait till next year so that that I can upgrade y handset instead.

Darren~Hey!! Sorry for the late reply...I find that I require much more time to revise Econs compared to my other core modules. Man, your course sure is tough to scoe in.

jon~Heys.. sorry for the late reply as well.. at least it's over now.. and you gt the extra time over the holidays to make preparations for the final paper in a few month's time.

john~ LOL... Partly due to me being very busy preparing for tests, projects and also, patly because I was searching for a new blogskin.

JUSTVIM~Was there looking around even before you started advertising =.=

After the Hiatus

It's been a month since I last posted something up here ya? Alright, today I'll continue from where I had left off then. Going to be one extremely long post, so take your time to read it though.

Anyways, let's just skip to Saturday, 22nd November when I brougt Sean and wm back to school. Somehow, the three of us managed to ake the same train to Lakeside MRT Station that morning. Met Darren and the others at the MRT station, before I actually met the two of them. So, we walked as usual to school, before taking a tour. Went straight to Qi Long to bring him a message from Andy, before going to take a look at the Drama Club at the auditorium, followed by the St John booth to take a look. Seems like there were quite a number of new members this yar, though I did not enter, for I did not really know the new officers who were appointed to the school this year.

Next, met Meng Yan and another friend before we walked around behind her. Throughout, Sean and wm were intrigued by the new building and were jealous of the facilities(they were from a reputable school you see). The school seems to have grown, with the new canteen, equipment, furniture and hall. One thing that caught my attention was, how did the school suddenly become so wealthy in just 1 year? Maybe, perhaps they were cutting back on funds back in the old building so that they can spend more on the new building. The library now has bean bags and touch screen computers, there is even a Problem Based Learn room equiped with a new projector which uses cutting-edge technology. Met almost all the teachers who taught me over the past 4 years, and I guess some were surprised to see why two strangers were with me as well? Went for lunch at the coffee shop, before we heaed to Funan to get the flight simulator game, before walking a couple of kilometers to Sim Lim to get Sean's joystick. They took the train home after that, while I walked to the esplanade to take the bus home. It's worth the effort, as I have a wider choice of seats and also have more time to sleep on the way home.

And that's all for the month of November. I dont' really have much to comment about that month, for it was very smooth, except that I had problems with Economics and Communication Toolkit. Other than those, everything else was just fine.

Now, let's head on to December. On Tuesday, the 2nd of Dcember, I was almost too afraid to do welding at first. However, after the demonstration, everyting started to become fun and easy. Maybe that's what most might feel on their first attempt. That, sure was a nice start for the last month of the year.

Later that Friday, I did badly for te first Engineering Drawing test. I made a couple of errors on the second question, denying me of a chance to complete the whole paper. I'm expecting a borderline pass for that paper, but I'm just going to let the grades go just this once. I'm going to working at double or even triple the pace just to recover from that fall.

The next day, on the 6th of December, Jon, wm and I went for Changi Airport's Terminal 2 for lunch at Popeye's. The portions were way larger than KFC's, but was it worth paying the price. As we could not find a suitable spot to study, we decided to make our way to the national Library branch at Bedok to study instead. We had planned a couple of days ago to study economics together, to clear our doubts and questions, for Jon's and my test was going to be held just 3 days later on Tuesday morning. I managed to cover every single chapter during the 4 hours we spent there, thanks to Sean's notes. We went to Burger King for sundaes, before going to the hawker centre to buy food and then, head home. I decided to take the bus once again, for it's cheaper and I can sleep peacefully on the way home again. Shortly after I entered City Link at City Hall MRT Station, I met Sean and Cherie, by coincidence. The moment Sean saw me, he took no time tryig to explain and prove that it was not because of cherie that my first call could not get through once again. Of course, although I bought his reason, but afterall she was also with him, so perhaps that made it even more difficult for him to pick up my call. I reached home at 8.50pm, just in time for the first episode of the animated Star Wars series.

On Monday, I went to King Albert Park to study with the usual group; Jun Jie, Jian Hui, Janna, Amada, Jenere, Billy, Zhi Jie, An Yan, Swenson. We stayed there till 6.30, before Jian Hui, Janna, Jenere, Zhi Jie and I went fo dinner at the hawker centre narby. I went home at 7.

Tuesday was the first day of the common test. In the morning, there was Economics. It was pretty do-able, and the MCQ questions were really easy. I must say, that the reason behind why I would not be getting an A grade is simply due to the fact that I did not put in enough effort during the revision. I'm expecting a C grade for that paper. I went home for lunch before going back to school in the afternoon for the Engineering Mathmatics 2 paper. Not to offend anyone, but, this was the only paper that i did no revision at all, for I was ready for the test about a couple of weeks before the day the paper was due to be held. I'm expecting an A+ grade for the paper.

There was a few days' break before the last paper(also the toughest for the term) was to be held.On Wednesday and Thursday, I spent a total of 18 hours revising and memorising chapters 3 and 4 of the syllabus. On Thursday, maybe not knowing that the others were meeting up to study was a good thing, for I would have wasted 4 valuable hours of my time on travelling alone, but still, meeting up with friends was way better than shutting oneself from the rest of the world, tryig to get information into the mind. Currently, 18 hours is nowhere near my 48 hours of memorising and revision, made last year during the O Level period, while studying for Physics papers 1 and 2.

On Friday, practically, I did not open my notes nor did I went through the slides. I spent the whole day relaxing. In the evening, I met the comittee of the Mechanical Engineering Society(I guess?) and went for a Christmas concert at the esplanade concert hall by the SSO. Really enjoyed it thoroughly, especially toward the end where there was a sing-along session. AND, I REALLY SANG. Guess I built-up too much stress over the past two days.

After the concert, joined them at a restaurant that sells only chocolate related food and beverages for a short moment before I took the bus home. This bus ride was going to be one that I might remember for quite some time. On the way back home on the bus, spotted a group of three girls(I'm usually not the type of person who is so free to do such stuff). Every 3 to 5 minutes, I took glances. However, after a while, I found myself looking at them momentarily, until it became so obvious they, too turned to look at me, and soon, we were staring at one another. That's when I got afraid that I might have done something wrong and stopped. Frankly, that was the first time I did something like that. It only ended when they alighted from the bus, and it felt as though time flowed normally again. That 20 minutes sure felt like an hour.

Anyway, now, it's on to yesterday, and it's Saturday! The moment I arrived in school at 8.30am, everyone was getting ready to leave for the examination room at block 50. The paper was easy, if one had studied the chapters thoroughly. That, was a paper where, if you studied, you would not only pass, but have a high chance of doing well for the paper, and if you had not studied for the paper, you might fail, or if you were lucky, you would pass decently. I'm confident of at least an A grade for this paper.

After the paper, we went to Vivocity, for lunch and to watch a movie. Once there, Janna was just too excited when she saw that Twilight was showing in Singapore at last, and it was 5 days earlier than the actual release date. What's more, we only had to pay 8 dollars for each ticket as Amanda had the Safra card. Sadly, Jenere could not join us as the movie was at 4pm. So, we, Janna, Amanda, Jian Hui, Jun Jie, Wei Yong, Kenzi and I wet to Carle's Jr for lunch. It was only 1pm, so we had 3 hours before the movie started. At 2pm, we went walking around. Around 2.0pm, I found out that there would be more joining us later on. Janna had called Chengwen and Chengyun to join us for the movie, while Jun ie and Jian Hui asked their friends to join us as well.

We accompanied Jenere to the bus stop, before going with Jian Hui to withdraw money(and we got a shock), before going to the cinema box office to wait for the others to arrive at 3.30pm. At 4pm, we were ready to enter.

At 4.15pm, the movie started, but during the first part of it, the graphics were not very good, but after the scene, everything seemed to be in place. I must say, that the movie was definitely worth watching. 2 hours, lots of action, especially in the second part of the movie. Now, I'm thinking if I should watch it again, and I'm also considering of reading the books in the series. Janna! You have influenced me as well...

Alright then, that's all for today's post. Not sure if this 3 week break is going to be boring or exciting though, as it has only just began.I'm skipping CCA tomorrow as I'm having flu and can't do very much physical activity as yet, but should have no problem doing so on Thursday. Jun Jie is also planning a roller blading trip which I'm so looking forward to, and I guess I better prepare some plasters as well for that day. So far, at least 5 people I know are already on holiday, and soon, more would follow. If you're one of them, enjoy your trip!!!

Oh, and before I end the post, expect a mass blog makeover tomorrow, for it's that time of the year where I change my blogskin and make some major changes once again!

Week of Tests

In this week alone, there were 4 tests, on 4 consecutive days. It's been months since I last had one test a day for a whole week. Monday was like a rest day, with only 3 hours of school and CCA in the evening.

Tuesday was my first Economics test, in the form of an online quiz. I got my first A grade this semester from that quiz! Yeah! Wednesday, had our Engineering Materials Test, and, I would be getting a grade ranging from a B to an A. An A+ would be a miracle for I had lost 10 marks before the test had ended. Got back my Mathematics Quiz as well on that day, and I lost 2 marks to a careless mistake. It's had for me to get 100% of any test correct without any form of error, so that made my first A+ grade for this semester, another A grade.

On Thursday, I met Priscilla after I alighted from the bus, when she was about to board the bus I took to school. That day, I had my first written test in almost a year. I had to write a small section of an information paper, but the total word count had to be no more than 250 words long. Obviously, I exceeded the word limit as it was almost an impossibility for me to keep within word limits. I ended up with 280 words, but anyway, the 3 mark penalty was expected even before I started the paper. I'm confident of scoring near full marks for grammar and content, though I face the possibility of getting as low as a C grade for the test. As usual, I went home to take a short nap, before heading back for CCA in the evening. Training, wasn't really training for me that day, for I was not yet a full-fletched STF member, and thus, was not yet qualified to participate in the IVP. After the warm-up, I joined one round of training, before I sat at one corner and did nothing for the remaining one hour. Maybe I should just go for training on Monday until I there is something for me to train on Thursdays? I met quite a number of familiar faces during that one hour, but well, not sure if I even saw them. First was Jerome who was walking past the training area at around 8pm, followed by Joycelyn some time later. I think I did wave at her, but then again, I think I did not see her there at all. Later that night, she confirmed that she had waved at me, but somehow I guess I was seeing things, as I did not remember waving to her. Maybe it was me, maybe it was me subconsciously. Strange eh? After training that night, I saw Kash, and by then, I guess I regained my consciousness in a way, for I was able to walk up to have a short conversation with him.

Today, had a role play test for German, and I guess it did not go very well again, for it was purely last minute preparation on the spot. Left for CCA again later on, and went for dinner after that. Tonight had been an eventful night, but next Sunday, something big is going to happen, and we're going to be part of it!

Alright, this concludes the 150Th post in this blog! Looking forward to next week...

On Vacation'08-Part 6

It's the sixth week of the seven week long term break! Just two one more week and it's back to school. Welcome to the sixth part o the seven part series. This week was definitely one exciting week, with the extreme F1 weekend mood reducing as the days pass this week.

Monday was a pretty bad day for me, I overslept badly, waking pass 11, and for the rest of the day, I was either sleeping, eating or staring at the computer screen. I did went for a run at 5.45pm, but ended up having to walk the remaining 1km on the way back, owing to the partially healed blister.

Tuesday was a great day. After some months, I finally met up with Jon and WM again. We were supposed to meet at the City Hall MRT station at 1pm, but due t the diversion, I decided to save time by taking a train from Dhoby Ghaut MRT station, arriving at the venue at 1.15pm. We went to Marina Square for lunch at Carl's Jr, before going to Peninsular Plaza to get Jon's clothes, but it turned out there were few stores that sold clothes. We went to Funan IT Mall to get my headphones to replace my dead 30 buck ear phones which lasted only 5 months and 3 weeks. We went back to Suntec to visit the Motor Show. Not as grand as wm and Jon have expected it to be, and there were not as many vehicles and companies there as well. One thing that made the 8 bucks worth paying was the stunt show that was on at 4.30pm. There was also a charity auction for seats in the cars to get up close and personal with the drivers and be part of the show at the same time! The prices started off at SGD40, but as expected all the prices were at least $50.

At 5pm, we went to help Jon with his shopping. After we gave up searching in Marina Square and Suntec City, we went to Vivocity to shop. It was 7.40 when we were done and went to the food court in the basement for dinner. I got scalded when I accidentally tipped the bowl of porridge I had ordered slightly. At 8.30pm, we went off.
Here are the photographs that WM aka papa of mashimaro took:
(for more photographs and a more elaborate review do visit his blog!
SPOILER alert: please click on the photographs if you're unable to see them. I had some problems uploading the photographs. Sincerest apologies for any inconveniences caused.)

Wednesday was a public holiday, so, Happy Childrens' Day and Selamat Hari Raya to all! I woke after 11am again and I did almost the same things I did on Monday. At 5.45pm, I went for the run again, and was on top form as well. Sadly, I ended up walking the last 1km or so back when my blister started bleeding. DAMN. I was on the way to set a new personal best!I clocked 20 minutes at the finish point. If only I had remembered to put on a plaster before going for the run, things would have been better.
Thursday, which was yesterday, I did the same thing as what I dd on Monday.Again. However, just so that my blister could heal in time for Saturday's outing to Sentosa, I decided not to run.
Friday, and that was today, I went for the Toast Masters' meeting in school. I ended up being late despite leaving early. Can't really blame the timing of the buses though. Anyway, I was given an official role today, the Time Keeper. The job was somewhat simple, though there were moments where I forgot to stop the stopwatch for a couple of seconds. We went for Dinner after that at 9.15pm. We stayed there for an hour before heading home.
Anyway, this is the review for the month of September. This month was truly a month of extremes. There were extremely high moments, as well as deeply low moments. The results was definitely something exceptional, the first time I achieved the best possible results with little parental help along the way. On September 18Th, I commemorate my fourth year of blogging. I started my first blog, coupled with my first ever post on Sunday, 18Th September 2005 at 6.05pm. In 24 days' time i will be celebrating the second anniversary of this current blog. Till then, do expect more posts and pictures, as well as videos as time passes!

Moving on, for the low moments, there was, of course the dawn of a financial crisis in America. Well, it doesn't really affect me that much, but it was the amount of money involved, the figures, that were shocking. it was one of the times that you would hear the mega words in financial terms being used, which aloe, is enough to send chills down the spines of some working adults. There was also the many days where I did only 4 things, eat, sleep, use the computer and run. In fact, I did all that for many hours on end. It's as though I did not have a life worth living for, just doing any thing that came to mind, just so that I could kill time.I would rather be spending time doing something useful instead of lazing around. And I lost my momentum that was supposed to kick start my engine for the up-coming semester. It's gotten quite cold and dusty since the exams ended way back in August. If I'm not wrong, it took me 4 or 5 weeks just to warm up for the first semester this year. Maybe for now, I should just concentrate on relaxing as much as I possibly can, before the holidays end, so that I can go at full speed for the first month of the next semester, allowing me to gain some ground in my progress as I take aim at 4.0 again. The last semester, I missed the target by a mere 0.06 points.

On the whole, I guess I would be expecting much more similar ups and downs from this point on, be able to face them as they come, and remember the lessons learnt as they go as well.

Yet Again

It's been 6 years since I first felt it. 6 years later, I still find myself running away from the lights of it. Once again, I find that I could no longer hold it in till it's the time to let it out. "Hey, since you managed to resist that temptation for 6 full months last year, I'm sure you'll be able to go through it once again, this time with less troubles. I know you can!" I had always thought that I could take the stress, but it ended up all the same, I can't clear the exams partially because of that. I know, that now that school life has changed, so has the extent of its strength. So, should I just play on like nothing has ever happened, or should I face up to reality, coldly expressing it, regardless of the outcome which could cause a great deal of pain and damage? After being lost for a week now, a dream the night before led me a step closer to my much-sought after answers.

It was the first day of a new school semester. While walking with friends to class, I met a close friend. I was ignored. "Maybe you should just keep searching, my friend, I'm sorry, but I think that your time has not arrived yet. Oh, and don't mind me, but maybe in ten years time, you might still be the same, still searching for the right one. Ha, or maybe, you'll never get a chance to build your own nest." I just wasn't bold enough. But, I have face up to the emptiness that's inside, and defeat it once and for all, so that we can be one. During lunch, it was raining heavily. We sat together as always, but, all I felt was, the emptiness from within, slowly consuming me with each foolish thought that ran through my mind.

It was 11am when I finally woke from that dream. So, I decided. I Will do something about it. Never mind the pain. Never mind the loss. As long as the bonds of friendship remains just like what happened 5 months back, I would not lose anything. Tonight, if I am still fully awake, I had better consult a friend whose had experienced similar incidents for some time now, for advice.

I always have the tendency to think about others before making my move, so much to the extent that I worry too much about their well being that I end up doing nothing to change things.
But somehow, that part of me never showed itself under such circumstances. Three times. Three times I prepared to make the flight, three times I never got near to making it happen. In time, it's going to be my fourth. Although I never want to fail again, I want to be sure. I want to be sure about whether I am able to maintain my flight, and whether I will be able to find a place to build the nest later on. Now, as much as I want to take off, I am definitely not ready to shoulder all that burden. I have never ventured that far out before, but that reason alone, is no reason for me to take things easy.

Guess I never asked about the way you felt. Wanted to do that, but was afraid of falling into the depths. Wish that we could be together alone, but, was afraid of making you feel awkward. I wonder, how long more must I take, before I can become a better person and unleash my potential that's been asleep in me for so long?

Time

School had just started, but with a simple blink of the eye, it's already the third week of school. Time sure flies when you have got things and unfinished tasks to do. These three weeks alone were a real challenge, for life now not only involves studies, but also one's social life and character, especially in the way one does and handles things. Many people, many perspectives. Well, guess that's the way it'll be for the next three years down the road.

The past two night have been enjoyable with the gun bound sessions. I still have trouble visualising the effect of relative velocity in the game, but I should be able to see it with more practice, while ensuring that I don't get addicted to the game.

Anways, watched three movies over the weekend. Yesterday I watched Priates of the Carribean: At World's End and Step up 2 the Streets. Pirates of the Carribean was shown in cinemas around the same time last year, and as for Step Up 2 the Streets, it was shown recently this year if I'm not wrong. The movies were great, and kept me occupied when I was bored after doing some revision. Just a couple of hours ago, I watched Night at the Museum. My first impression was it being a horror movie, which turned out to the exact opposite of what I had thought it to be. It was more of a fantasy coupled with adventure and humour. Come to think of it, these movies might be just another form of entertainment for many, but, set deep in their respective sets, each story teaches a lesson in life. That's usually what I look for in movies, apart from watching them for pure entertainment.

Tomorrow's going to be another day in school. I'm still looking forward to Tuesday though, for it will be more of working with something I like doing, which is building miniature models, except that this time round, I will be working with not just a model, but one that is able to run on its own with motors. Tomorrow, well,I don't really know much about what's going to happen, just that it could end up being a pretty tiring day, with school ending at 5pm.

Friday's going to be another day of reunion with friends met back in MI during the one month trial of JC life.Though there's going to be another one on the 19th of next month, this one might be able to help us catch up with lost time I hope...

School has only started, and I have yet to find my rightful place in there. Why? Why is it that things have to go this way?Whenever and wherever time plays a part, the people we meet are different, and the things we do are alien to us? Is it all predestined? Or was it just the simple fact that life goes on?

1st Week

The first week of school was not as bad and as stressful as I had thought it would be.It was more like doing revision for the O levels, and, the pace, when compared to a JC, is alot slower, making things easy to be absorbed.

Anyway, after 4 years, I finally found the website for gunbound(an old game, but at least each game lasts for less than 10 minutes),and started playing it with my poly friends who play it to release stress(not after spending an hour on downloading).I realised its alot like worms(with the high angle shots and weapon types),making it a rather easy game to pick up.And, a good thing is, the game's not addictive at all.

So, today, somehow I regained my speed in doing Mathematical and Physics questions while doing my tutorials. It's been some time, but I felt as though my speed has increased(I myself was surprised). So ya, finished the physics tutorial ahead of most classmates today, and went around helping others spot their mistakes. As for today's Mathematics lecture, there were some glitches with the projector, so whatever word or digit was screened had some sort of a pink shadow behind it.So the lecturer gave up and decided to use the whiteboard instead(finally the speed of teaching I was looking forward to).

Tomorrow will be pretty slacked other than a short 3 minute presentation, and a possibly chance to build a mechanical car too...

Marina Square,again

Today the same few of us,Wei Wen, Joycelyn,Lim,Sean and I went back to Marina Square for a nice and appetising dinner at Long John Silvers. Tonight was perhaps one of those times that I took longer than usual to finish my food ya,since I had just undergone dental surgery a couple of days back.

Well, before that, went over to Bedok to meet a friend for a short moment before heading down to White Sands at Pasir Ris to stock up on some basic stationery for the new life in two weeks time.It was already 4.20pm when I received Joyce's message saying that the time was indeed confirmed as 4.45pm today. I immediately rushed back by train to City Hall Station in 40 minutes, reaching there at 5pm, and met her and Wei Wen near New York New York.. So we headed for MPH where we met up with Lim and adjourned to Long John Silvers at Marina for dinner. Sean came soon after, meant as a surprise for Joyce and Wei Wen.

Once we were done, we went to Famous Amos to get Joyce's cookies for her school visit tomorrow, before parting ways to head home.Met one of Joyce's friends on the way home, and Lim helped form the new bonds with a fellow freshman from Ngee Ann.So,for now, it seems like I cant complete a model given to me by Thadd,Vera,Wei Wen and Valerie as a birthday gift and another model given to me about a year ago by a friend. So, hopefully I can stay up late into the night tomorrow till sunrise.

So,guess it's just going to be at least the same few of us for the next few outings yea?Well, at least I know, that I have made many great friends back in MI, and even though those days are over, we're still together as a small flame of the torch that would never die out under harsh conditions...

Back to MI, and off to another outing

Two days ago, I was all dressed up just to head back to a former school to pay some outstanding school fees. Well, the journey there was the same, just that on the way back I met three friends. The security guard was still the same, and so was the school environment. The payment process was pretty fast.It was 4pm when i arrived, and it was just 4.30pm when i left It was surprising to meet Afian at the stadium, though it was not a CCA day. And on the way out, I met Pei Xuan, who was surprised at seeing me in the school(I dint expect to meet her there at all).
So, I decided to see who else I would meet if I walked back to the bus interchange. And I sure met someone again! Kuan Wei was almost reaching home when we ran into each other, and he was back in IJC after his JAE posting.

Later that night, Pei Xuan and i gave each other a pleasant surprise. She was surprised to see me in MI just so that I could pay my school fees. If there was not a need to, I would not have went there already, plus, I never expected to meet her there either. After that,I was appalled to hear from her that a friend who was from MI during the PAE period was actually still in there, though I previously believed that all my friends had left MI for their JCs and polytechnics.

Well, now on to yesterday...

It was a pleasant outing.Weiwen,Joycelyn,Fiona,Lim,Sean,Thadd and I met at Somerset Mrt station at 1.30pm and left for Orchard Cineleisure for lunch at Subway. We had a nice lunch, but were unable to decide on a movie to watch, so we just went to an arcade at Plaza Singapura to pass the time. After that, at around 4.30pm, After Lim and Weiwen went off,the rest of us went on to Star Bucks Coffee at Wisma Atria, while I went to the Gmask kiosk there, and found out that the was no avaliable stocks for my laptop wrap that was free. So, empty-handedly, went back to meet the rest at Star Bucks, before leaving for Bukit Batok shortly after that, so that I could meet up with my parents and head on to a friend's place for dinner.

Their place sure was great, and it gave a peaceful sort of feeling. And, I finally had a possible job offer, though it came a little too late.So at around 11pm,we left for home.Well, i'm still not sure if I am still willing to work, but I will think it over for now...

Long Holiday

49 days before school starts. Man, it's going to be one long, boring holiday before school starts on 14th April.

I haven't been doing much at home these days, just slacking around, doing little preparation for the new school life ahead. Nowadays, I'm just passing my time off with at least 5 hours of game time daily, usually in the afternoon on weekdays, and up to 10 hours on weekends.

Yea,I still do some household chores, but they only take up most of the morning, followed by some other things, which vary from day to day.

Anyway, the only good start of the 55-day holiday was to take my brother to a park for his school's annual cross country run. We were almost late, but good thing there was a long line of taxis waiting at the MRT station. So, by the time I reached home after dropping him off at the entrance of the park,it was close to 9am. Did some chores, and then it was back to my lifeless, gamer self.Had thought that I would not be like this once the O levels were over, but, it seems like I would be back to that helpless state real soon.

Last day of the last PAE, new life awaits...

Monday was similar to the previous Graduation Nite I had in Yuan Ching. Morning, there was school as per normal, but after that, we decided to make a move early after Math, as there were no other important lessons from 11am onward. So, invited Lim,Thadd,Lynette,Cherie,Angeline and Priscilla over for lunch, before going on to Fiona's place at 4.30pm for the barbeque party.

Really enjoyed ourselves that day, and it might be the last time that we would be able to meet together as a class.Anyway, there was bound to be more similar gatherings in time to come, so 08S6, just get ready for the next gathering,ok?

So,the next day,I received an SMS at 6.20am. Wondered who was so excited about the posting results that day. Well, so I just opened the message, and I ended up having one of the worst Tuesday mornings in 2008.I was not posted to either of the Aeronautical courses in Ngee Ann Polytechnic or Singapore Polytechnic.Instead, I got posted to my third choice, Mechanical Engineering at Ngee Ann Polytechnic.THe moment I saw the results, I did the simplest thing. Maybe I was just imgining things,so a short nap would do ya?Ok, so at 10am, I woke up, checked the SMS again, well, itwas true.Ok, fine,it's not a bad course anyway, and I still have the chance to consider what I really want to do in a University after I graduate from the Polytechnic.

So, for now, all I know is that I will be meeting 5 friends more often over the next three years, which is quite a good thing actually, even though we're not bound for the same course.
